Direction to Colasanti's Tropical Garden: Leave Customs on Huron Church Road, go past McDonald's. Stay on Huron Church until it joins Highway #3. Continue on HWY-3 S for 36 km, turn right to Union Ave., turn right again at the first traffic light to Road 3. About 200 m from the light is Colasanti's West Parking lot (please past the first drive way, East Gate, of Colasanti's).
Activities and Schedule:
11:00am (sharp!!): Leaving at West Gate of Colasanti's Tropical Garden (open 8:00am-6:00pm) for greenhouse tours. Those, who wish to visit Colasanti's, should arrive earlier to have enough time for Colasanti's.
11:00am-11:30am: H & A Mastronardi Greenhouses (Tomatoes).
11:30am-12:00pm: Del Sol Greenhouses (Peppers and cucumbers).
12:00pm: Drive to Point Pelee National Park, Black Willow Beach. The entry fee for the park is $17.50 per vehicle or $6.90 per person, which will be at the cost of trip participants. Please drive a van if you have one, so that we can car pool before heading for the park.
Direction from Colasanti's to Point Pele National Park . Head east on Road 3 E, past the traffic light until reach a yellow flashing light (2.5 km), turn right (to south) at Albuna Townline / County Road 31 (2.5 km), Turn left (to east) at County Road 20/Seacliff Dr W (4.9 km), Turn right at Bevel Line Rd/CR-33 (follow the sighs of Days Inn and Point Pele), Continue to follow County Road 33 and Point Pelee Dr for 11.3 km (County Road 33 changes to Point Pelee Dr after 6 km). 12:30pm-6:00pm: Bar B Q Lunch, hiking, cycling, swimming, etc. Contribution of $5 per person suggested to the Association treasury. Children under 5 are free.
2:00pm: Distributing souvenirs of tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. One bag per family. A minimal contribution for the souvenirs to the association treasury will be appreciated.
